| Dundee North Law Centre is a Company formed to provide free advice on legal problems and concerns, and to give assistance to individuals, clubs, organisations, etc. We are Limited by Guarantee, and a recognised Scottish charity.
Dundee North Law Centre is accredited to the Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers until August 2013 in the topics and for the types of service shown in the Accreditation Report. We are funded under the Fairer Scotland Fund through Dundee Partnership.
Our mission at the Law Centre is to address areas of unmet legal need. We provide free legal advice, assistance and representation to clients who live in the areas which we serve. We do this by holding regular advice sessions in the areas of remit, and where necessary, arranging home visits for the housebound.
The Law Centre has its office at 101 Whitfield Drive, Dundee DD4 0DX, and the legal work is carried out by the independent legal practice of DNLC at this address. The Law Centre has four legally qualified staff.
At present, we are primarily serving the residents of Whitfield, Mid Craigie/Linlathen, Beechwood, Kirkton, Ardler, Charleston, Lochee, Maxwelltown/South Hilltown, Fintry, Mill o' Mains, Douglas, parts of Menzieshill, Stobswell, St. Mary's and some city centre areas.
We hold legal advice sessions in or near these areas. Home visits can also be arranged for the disabled/housebound.
